Pronounced "skene-dhu" or "skee-ən-DOO", this knife is another piece of traditional Scottish Highland wear. It is typically placed on the outside of the leg on the dominant hand side (example: right hand, right leg), and tucked into the top of the kilt hose with only the upper portion of the knife visible. Due to the handle being made of antler, sgian dubh total length can vary. Average measurement is 11" long and 1" wide, with a 3.5" blade. Each sgian dubh is individually crafted, and can result in minor visual variances.
