Fly plaids are a representation of ancient Scottish culture, back when traditional tartan kilts were made with more fabric than they typically are today. In those earlier times, any fabric that remained after the kilt was tied around the waist was thrown over the shoulder. Today, fly plaids echo that sentiment, but with much more elegance and flair, especially when paired with a gorgeous brooch (we have several beautiful designs to choose from)! 
 
Measures 5' long from end to end when worn. The fly plaids listed here are the ones we most often have in stock, but you are welcome to order from our tartan selection found here!
